Topi Meuronen

Topi obtained his Msc degree in molecular medicine from University of Eastern Finland (UEF) in 2018. Currently he works as an early stage researcher in the UEF at the Institute of Public Health and Clinical Nutrition. In his PhD studies he utilizes non-targeted and targeted metabolite profiling to study effects of diets enriched in polyunsaturated fatty acids and whole grain products. He visited the Wheelock lab during May-July 2019. During that period, he performed lipid mediator profiling in plasma samples from dietary intervention study where the effects of alpha-linolenic and linoleic acid supplementation were studied in subjects different FADS1 genotypes.
