Jingyi Lu

Jingyi received her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing, China and is currently pursuing her Master's in the Drug Innovation program at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Previously, she worked on lipid metabolism (lipolysis) of adipose tissue and adipocytes in a murine cigarette-induced COPD model. During that period, she developed an interest in studying metabolic disorders using bioinformatics tools. She then started her Master's project with the Wheelock group, focusing on the exploratory analysis of untargeted metabolomics data from the U-BIOPRED project, under the supervision of Dr. Romanas Chaleckis and Dr. Stacey Reinke.
