Alessandro Quaranta

Alessandro Quaranta studied Analytical Chemistry at Sapienza University of Rome where he obtained his Master’s degree in 2014 with a thesis on the development of a method for the study of amino acids in atmospheric particulate matter, focusing on liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. He obtained his PhD at the Department of Environmental Science and Analytical Chemistry (ACES) at Stockholm University in 2019, where he developed and applied methods for the analysis of the alterations of protein N-glycosylation in relation with different diseases. In November 2019 he started his postdoc at the Wheelock Lab on the investigation of the biosynthetic pathways of octadecanoid oxylipins and their involvement in pathophysiological processes.
